Accommodations

Come experience "camping in comfort!" Guests stay in furnished canvas platform tents or yurts located in private, natural settings. Standard amenities include beds with handmade quilts, table and chairs, wooden plank floors, braided rugs, battery-operated lights and lanterns and drinking water. For cool nights propane fireplace stoves take off the chill and provide a cozy atmosphere. The tents are lined on all sides with mosquito netting, allowing guests the option of rolling up the canvas sides to enjoy cool breezes and better nature viewing. Likewise the yurts have large screened windows, door and skylight. Each site has its own bathroom consisting of an odorless, closed-system composting toilet and a sink with soap and running water. Showers are provided in our private residence. Each tent and yurt is considered a single-family unit and is not handicapped accessible. To reach the sites one must walk variable distances ranging from 300-700 feet, on a grassy path, so appropriate footwear is recommended. Garden carts are provided for transporting luggage, and we are happy to assist with that.

We provide large and varied farm breakfasts. Whenever possible we use organic, locally grown ingredients, often from our own farm. We select the menu, based on season and availability of ingredients. Typical menu items include eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, baked beans, home fries, pancakes, french toast, waffles, muffins, coffee cakes, old-fashioned oatmeal, homemade granola, coffee, tea, juice, milk. We make all of our own bread. Our own maple syrup and native fruits and fruit sauces are often incorporated. Please advise us in advance of food allergies and dislikes.

The Sites

Tent on the Pond

Situated on a natural pond teeming with life and frogs, this showcase 12’ x 14’ platform tent features a large covered deck, rustic cedar log framework and nearby wild berries. Carefully furnished and detailed for comfort, enjoyment and function, the tent has a queen-sized bed with a premium mattress. Up to two optional twin-sized cots, or a queen-sized air mattress are available for additional guests. If you like listening to frogs, this is the tent for you! Available April 15th-Oct 15th.

Cozy Woods Yurt

Nestled in the woods, this 20 foot White Mountain Yurt provides the unique experience of living in a completely round dwelling. Large evenly spaced windows provide views in all 4 directions. The yurt is equipped with a kitchenette including a propane stove and oven for simple meal preparation if desired. Comfortable furnishings include a queen-sized bed, a divan with fold-out bed, and a jumbo beanbag chair. Insulated, the yurt is suitable for 4-season use, allowing the unique experience of camping in winter. Available year round.
